- Skin scrapings and hairs with follicles in a sealed fungal envelope
or sterile container
Culture:
- Swab in aerobic transport media;
- Urine in a tightly sealed sterile plastic jar;
- Tissue in a sterile container with a few drops of sterile saline;
- Fluid in a sterile container;
- Skin scrapes in a sterile container
