Presence of black, brown (red) and true red coat colors, and black and brown nose. The Brittany Spaniel is divided into two varieties: orange and white, and all other colors. This variety includes liver and white; black and white; liver, white and orange or black, white and orange; with more or less extensive irregular white patches. Acceptable color patterns include piebald, often with ticking, and roan, or ticking on the top and sides of the muzzle or the limbs. In the case of tri-color coats, orange markings (orange to dark tan) can be located on the top and side of the muzzle, over the eyes, on the limbs, on the chest and the base of the tail. A narrow blaze is desirable with any color of coat. A solid-colored (one color) coat is not allowed. |
