Known in Southern China since the Han dynasty (around 200 BCE), Chinese Char-Peis may have once served as fighting dogs. Today, their adorable, wrinkly faces and well-behaved, loving temperaments make them excellent pets.
Males and females are 18 to 20 inches at he withers. They have square, balanced body with flexible, compact motion.
